Latest Trend: BABIES!!

Forget buying a puppy, it seems like the latest trend is being pregnant. It is no longer carrying a cute little puppy around everywhere, but pushing a carriage or showing off the pregnant belly.

Celebrities such as JLo, Christina Aguilera, Nicole Richie, Katie Holmes, Jamie Lynn Spears, and Angelina Jolie can be seen either carrying their babies with them or walking around pregnant.

Summer Trend for 2008

This summer be prepared to see a lot of floral prints on clothes. This year's summer trend is going to be a romantic look. Girls will be dressing in frilly tops, dresses. Soft pastel colors will be popular such as pinks, yellows, greens, etc.

Popular hairstyles will be more on the natural side. Plain and simple is the theme. Ponytails, loose wavy hair. This year fashion will be more relaxed, not too flashy.

Oscar De La Renta Fall 2008

I was looking at Oscar De La Renta's new fall collection, and I must say that I liked what I saw. Just like Dolce & Gabbana, it had some boyish look to his collection, but his line also included femininity. His line was very classy, it was too a 1920's inspired look.
I could see his new collection look becoming a major trend for the fall. It is a glamoured look. You can check out his new fall collection in www.elle.com under the runway tab. You should check it out along with checking out some of the other designer's collection. My favorite was Oscar De La Renta.

Dolce & Gabbana" Fall 2008 Line

I was looking at Dolce & Gabbana's new line for Fall 2008, and it seems like his entire collection is an 1920's newspaper boy inspired look. In his collection he had a lot of grays, browns, and newspaper boy hats included.
Although I think that a boyish look on a girl looks cute, I am not too fond of this look. It is a very conservative look and there is not too much of a femininity to this look. I especially am not too fond the shoes!! We will see if this will become a trend in the fall. What do you think?

Good Girl Gone Fabulous

Many say that Rihanna may be next Beyonce, but one thing for sure is that her style is one of a kind. Rihanna's style within the past years has changed dramatically. Her style has gone from a cutesy hip hop girl look to a sexy vixen.
I love Rihanna's style a lot. It suits her very well and I don't think she can go wrong. She is a "good girl gone fabulous."

Street Chic

It seems that the newest trend for the summer is going to be a street chic look. What is street chic? Well its a little bit of all eras combined together.

More and more people are jumping onto this trend. This trend of looking like "I just don't care what I wear, Im gonna throw on whatever I can find." In the recent past weeks, Coachella took place and there one would be able to find a lot of people following this trend. In a way this trend might not be such a bad idea becuase one can re-use clothing items that one has had in the previous years.

When is too much?

Who doesn't love to accessorize? It is what makes a simple dress a fabulous outfit, but how do you know its too much? When people can hear you coming, is when you know you are wearing too many accesories. When wearing accessories try to balance them out.

For example, when wearing a statement necklace, don’t wear big chandelier earrings. Instead, pair it with simple studs. If you want to pile on bangles, don’t wear too much around the neck — try a ring on the other hand. Your shoes, belts, and bags don't have to match either. Try wearing an oversized bag with a cute pair of flats. When wearing heels try wearing a cute little clutch. Its all about keeping a clean, balanced look.

Updating your look

If you feel you need to update yourself be comforted that you are probably not as old fashioned as you think. The very fact that you are thinking about updating, implies a certain awareness of style.

You should be comforted that only 20 percent of the population is actually wearing up to date fashion. Most women are never up to date in fashion nor completely out of style. When you worry about your appearance, remember also that the star's thighs you see on a magazine cover have often been airbrushed to perfection, so that no cellulite is visible. That can make one feel less than perfect. When that happens just take a look at the next twenty people outside and you will snap right back into reality. Learn to love who you are, the way your body is, and accept those few flaws you might have. Instead draw attention to your best assets.
